About Me

When You Were Gone

When you were gone

I dried my tears

Painted on my smile

Locked up my shattered heart

And threw away the key.

When you were gone

I danced and grinned

The skeleton at the feast.

I thought nobody knew

About my broken heart

Now that you're gone

It shows. Nothing matters

Nothing No-one Nothing

I am beyond caring

I am out of reach.

Now that you're gone

I am an empty shell

Uncaring, blind to other's pain

Alone with my memories

Alone with my tears

Now that you're gone.
